Adrian.. why she loves him? Don't know. I guess all girls like to be scolded and pushed and scolded some more. He even scolded her for mourning for poor Lester (Stefan). Yes he was trying to tell her not to blame herself for his death but you know, open mouth scold, close mouth sulk. That is not idol drama. At least Him Law was handsome but even he goes scolding Mandy every single moment. This guy is not cool, he is definitely moody and why she loves him? Like my sis said, every woman in this series is "jok jin". Tavia married as 4th wife. At least she married someone capable. Rebecca married Kenneth but she didn't love him when she should. She kept thinking of the other moody guy, Ron who frankly is not as bad as Adrian. Adrian will starve his wife rather than beg for food. I hate how the writer pollute the relationship of Rebecca and Ron. Let them be like siblings, why pollute it? And idiot Kenneth married her, didn't sleep with her, said he will wait when she is ready. Man, she is ready. She said "I am scared..." which means he should go gentle with her. Damn it, at least a kiss first. Nope. He sleeps on a sofa. And now we have Sire and suddenly somehow loving the verbally abusive morally high and mighty Adrian. All jok jin sort of women.
The only thing done right is all sons and daughters of rich men, from the super rich Damien to the super rich Sek Sau all breed out very good polite well mannered sons and daughters.
Anyway I didn't go awwww over the supposed kindness. Lester was kind to her, but she fell for the poor stupid policeman. At least make Lester evil then I understand. So I guess Jok Jin is correct.
Of course he is right to hate rich people. Bad experience. BUT he was rude to Charles (Kenneth), and super rude to Sire. And when he fell for her, he was particularly siu hei.
By the way Sire Ma should have switched roles with Rebecca. She is a far better actress, and more sincere. As for Rebecca, her wedding dress look awful. Her head dress look like a curtain.
I wrote the following as a reply to a friend's question about Adrian's role and the rudeness of his character. The names in the answer refers to the characters, not the actors themselves.
